They tested the pieces and stated clearly what they were going to pay me for and what they were not. They calculated the value and gave me a quote which was within dollars of what I believe the value to be. (based on weight, karats, and gold prices) They paid me cash on the spot after I accepted their offer.
Overall, the experience was great and I was pleased with their honesty in paying a fair value for the items sold.

I came in 3 or 4 weekends ago with a ton of old jewelry to trade in. George helped me and he was really great to work with. I know nothing about precious metals or jems, and he was nice and patient to work with me. He explained a lot of his processes and what certain things mean, which I found fascinating but also comforting. I have made multiple trips to this store. Everytime I am very surprised their prices are. Lots of coins available at well below market price. Their grades seem to be very realistic and accurate. If you buy multiple coins the owner is usually very likely to throw in a better value.
